Reframing Digital Luba traditions, histories, and Memories Reframing Digital Luba traditions, histories, and Memories The inaugural Participatory initiative of the LubaHeritagesConnect Project
Step into the world of Luba culture, preserving and sharing the untold stories of a rich heritage and traditional networks fragmented as a result of colonial contacts. Scattered across the globe, Luba archival documents, material cultures and heritage cultures, oral histories account of broken systems of power and kinship that need special and urgent attention. This digital historical and cultural project aims at reconstructing female Luba voices, memories, histories and traditions in order to reconnect Luba communities and its diaspora with their roots and heritages. Your stories, your contributions, and your testimonies matter. Join us in reconstructing, preserving, and revitalizing the cultural narratives of the Luba women, ensuring their rightful place in Luba traditions and narratives.
This project bridges the gap between academic research, cultural preservation, and community-driven initiatives. By combining traditional knowledge with cutting-edge technology, we are reshaping the way we document, engage with, and preserve cultural heritage for present and future generations.
We believe in the power of collaboration and open participation. Whether you are a storyteller, an artist, a scholar, or someone who wants to share their personal or family history, there are many ways you can help us preserve and promote the untold stories of Luba women.
