September 27th, 2024 marked the kick-off of the seminar series Arts and (re)Creation from Africas to the World at Princeton University. I want to express my sincere gratitude for your invaluable support and participation in making our inaugural event a success. With approximately 300 attendees for both scheduled panels, this seminar was an excellent opportunity for everyone to explore critical digital humanities approaches and initiatives, and community-centered projects that promote African heritage within the worldviews of source communities. Composed of two panels approaching the concept of “re-storation” from a digital humanities and a community-centred perspectives, the inaugural seminar sparked significant interest and curiosity among a highly engaged and dynamic audience.
